The remastered bundles of joy Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City have been officially delayed. The anticipated game does not have an updated release date.
This Warner Bros news comes as a shock to most as it was just announced last month that the Batman remastered series would release July 29th. With the release date a month away, most would have suspected that the team at this stage, may have been putting on the finishing touches to an already award winning game. Sadly it appears that this is not the case.
“After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuos Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience,” said Grayson. “We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”
Considering how bad the release of Batman: Arkham Knight was for PC gamers, delaying the remake of the older games may not be such a bad thing. I would rather see them get it right instead of knowingly releasing a game that’s not ready. After all, we could just pick up the original right?
