Ubisoft’s South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been delayed until 2018!
For a game that was supposed to release in December of 2016 after the E3 2016 announcement, some wonder if The Fractured But Whole will ever surface.
After the first announced delay, Ubisoft informed that they just want to make sure the expectations regarding the game play experience are met.
“South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, calendar Q1 2017” Ubisoft said in their blog. “The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal,”
The Fractured But Whole was scheduled to release at the end of March, however, now with a month away, Ubisoft has decided to delay the game again. I get it, they want it to be perfect. I personally would be upset to buy a half-baked game so I applaud Ubisoft for trying to get it right.
Ubisoft has now released the following statement
“South Park: The Fractured But Whole will now launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in FY18. The teams at South Park and Ubisoft San Francisco are committed to pushing the envelope during development to deliver the best experience possible, and this additional time will allow them to do so.”
To answer that question rattling around in your head, the answer is Yes!, it does sound like the excuse for the delay last year. This game was also on our most anticipated games of 2017. With the game now figuring to be released a year and a half after its original release date, this has a lot of gamers wondering if The Fractured But Whole will ever hit stores.
