NBA Live 18 Cover goes to James Harden

EA announces that James Harden will grace its NBA Live 18 cover.

NBA Live has been all but forgotten the last few years with pushback, delays and cancellations casting clouds over the pure existence of the once iconic franchise. Its been pretty grim the last few years, but now NBA Live is finally ready to challenge NBA 2K, whom methodically knocked them off the throne.

James Harden is now looking to the future as the cover athlete of this years game.

“When I heard about working with EA SPORTS and being the cover athlete of NBA LIVE 18, I was pretty excited for the opportunity,” said Harden. “NBA LIVE 18 is all about creating your own identity and making your mark on the league, and I can definitely relate to that. If anybody knows about creativity, it’s me.”

Harden started his career as the first player ever drafted by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since signing with Houston, Harden has been a powerhouse in the league, finishing his first season with an average of 25.9 points and 5.8 assists per game, and growing into a perennial all-star and one of the league’s most-dominant players.

NBA Live 18 Demo

EA also announced that they will be releasing a demo version of the game. The demo will include a brief look into ‘The Rise’, the prologue section of The One, a story based version of NBA Live. The story will continue from where you leave off in the demo, ensuring that your saved data flows with you.

The demo will also include a Play Now option as well. While you will not be able to dig into each team, you can play with the two NBA Finals teams, Cleveland Cavaliers and The Golden State Warriors. This allows you to size up the NBA’s two biggest stars, Lebron James and Steph Curry.

NBA Live 18 will launch on September 15 for Xbox One and Playstation 4. Players who pre-order NBA LIVE 18 will get 33% off the retail price ($59.99) at participating retailers. EA Access subscribers will also get an additional 10% off the price.

NBA 2K18 also announced they will be releasing a demo of sorts. The Prelude will be coming soon while NBA Live demo will launch on August 11 (tomorrow).
